Electronic Service Delivery
Electronic Service Delivery describes the means by which government and its agencies' electronically delivery services to its citizens. How well government and its citizens are equipped for this method of communication is fundamental to the effectiveness of the service. Effective electronic service delivery can be seen in all aspects of a city or region's existence - from waste collection to the strength of the economy.
In 2001 BusinessLab initiated the e-city research programme aimed at enhancing the understanding of the components of good electronic service delivery. This programme
included the six Scottish cities plus several private sector organisations.
