Community Regeneration
Communities are not one-dimensional they are a rich mix of people with diverse backgrounds, values, experiences and aspirations. Community regeneration, to be judged a success, must seek to be inclusive of all shades of diversity.
Regenerated communities will do things in new and different ways and they will need new and different infrastructures and mechanisms. The physical embedding of new and changing infrastructures revolve around decisions as to cost and efficiency. The mental embedding of changing ways and behaviours requires understanding and consideration as to the skills and values of the community's people.
Community regeneration is first and foremost about people. Delivering effective community regeneration must go beyond the look of place to the sense of place.
One of the tools that BusinessLab uses in regeneration projects is the Community Signature. More details about this product are available by clicking on this link or the link on the left of this page.
