The Corporate Signature

The Corporate Signature is a change management tool developed as a result of BusinessLab's four-year action research programme into organisational learning. The Learning Environments consortium included some of the world's leading practitioners in corporate learning from business, government and academia.

Through deployment of the Corporate Signature, an organisation gains a very clear picture of its capacity to respond to planned changes such as a merger or acquisition, a re-organisation, a diversification, a new internal safety or quality initiative or even a new marketing campaign.

The Corporate Signature reaches throughout an organisation, ensuring individuals and teams are brought together to create a jointly owned picture of itself and a shared understanding of the action plans for future development. Critically, engaging and involving staff helps to ensure that change is seen as an organisation-wide requirement and not a 'top down' dictat.

Signature data is used to help to ensure investment in resources and programmes are effectively targeted on the achievement of business goals. Through understanding existing capacity, leaders can identify areas of strength and weakness within the organisation, areas to leverage or support and, through this, they can more effectively direct effective change.

The Corporate Signature has been, and is is currently being, used by publicly listed companies, public sector agencies and third sector organisations to support organisational change and transition programmes as market conditions become ever more challenging.
