Cramlington Learning Village

Cramlington High School are widely recognised and confirmed by Ofsted as innovative and visionary in their approach to learning. Led by Headteacher, Derek Wise CBE, the Cramlington team are at the forefront of new educational and learning thinking.

Cramlington are using the Family Learning Signature as part of their support and development of learning for families of children attending the school. From September 2008, Cramlington opoened its doors to their new intake of year 7 and 8 children.  To support this growth in the school, staff are now deploying the Family Learning Signature with all their new families to assist their transition to secondary school and enable the school to gat a deeper understanding of their families. The data from these Signatures is then used to help inform the ongoing family support strategy at Cramlington Learning Village.

As a result of the success of the programme in Cramlington, Northumberland County Council are now rolling the Signature programme out across a number of other schools in the area.
